"Lobster landed weight and value in the Scotia-Fundy Region increased 2.8 and 4.1 times respectively from 1980-86. Landed weight in 1986 was the highest since (1905). These increases have encouraged requests for additional access to the lobster fishery"--Introduction, page 2.
