Our responsibility was to provide objective information, advice, and assurance to assist Parliament in its scrutiny of the government's management of resources and programs, and to conclude on whether the strategy's management complied in all significant respects with the applicable criteria. …The objective of this audit was to determine whether National Defence; Fisheries and Oceans Canada; Public Services and Procurement Canada; and Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada managed the National Shipbuilding Strategy in a manner that supported timely renewal of the federal large vessel fleet"--About the audit, page 20.
