"The sport fishery for black salmon (post-spawners) on the Saint John River, N.B., during the period 1970-1983 totaled slightly fewer than 1,500 fish. Most were taken in the Nashwaak River tributary. At Mactaquac Dam, 1972-1982, repeat spawning (RS) fish comprised 9.5% (range: 5.2% to 20.7%) of the MSW fish sampled. RS fish contributed, on average, to about 10.6% of the egg deposition above Mactaquac"--Abstract, page 2.
