"In 1983 the Aerospace Industries Association of Canada and the Department of Industry Trade and Commerce jointly initiated an Annual Business Forecast Enquiry. The purpose of this enquiry was to provide a statistical base for discussions between the Association and the Federal Government with respect to government support for the Industry Sector. This survey assumed increasing importance with the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Association and the Minister of Regional Industrial Expansion on May 29, 1985"--Foreword.
