| 520 | |a"This report presents a summary of field activities conducted in 2017 in the Mackenzie corridor Northwest Territories (NWT). Air temperature, ground-thermal and active-layer data acquired from permafrost monitoring sites visited in 2017 are provided in graphical and tabular format. Ground temperature records for the 2007-2017 period are also presented and indicate that permafrost is generally warming throughout the corridor and for a majority of sites, permafrost is currently warmer than the baseline established during the International Polar Year (2007-09). The data presented provide essential baseline information that can be utilized by stakeholders and others for various purposes such as land management activities, regulatory processes and design of northern infrastructure.
