"This report presents the results of survey research on the topic of displacement. Displacement will mean the involuntary movement of households from their dwelling units as a result of changes external to the household [Hodge, 1979] in this study and will be recognized when the potential users of property have the motivation, and power to force others out of the property, in order to upgrade or change its use, for profit maximization"--Executive summary, page [6].
