"This paper follows the chronology of Haudenosaunee treaty making from the Dish with One Spoon, a pre-Columbian treaty, through the Kaswentha or Two Row Wampum Treaty of 1664, which separated criminal jurisdiction between the Confederacy and the Crown, to a number of other important transactions, ending in the near-treaty of the fall of 1990. … The fourth part of the paper chronicles what the government of Canada has done with respect to the Crown's relationship with the Haudenosaunee"--Executive summary.
