Federal Contaminated Sites Action Plan (FCSAP) : integrating climate change adaptation considerations into federal contaminated sites management. : En14-487/2022E-PDF
"To align with the priorities related to climate change in the Government of Canada's climate plan, its Greening Government Strategy and its Federal Sustainable Development Strategy, the Phase IV renewal of the Federal Contaminated Sites Action Plan (FCSAP) committed to considering the potential impacts of climate change and including climate change adaptation measures in assessment, remediation/risk management (R/RM) and long-term monitoring (LTM) activities at new and ongoing federal contaminated sites. This guidance document has been developed under the direction of the FCSAP Secretariat at Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) to support FCSAP custodians, consultants, contractors and other partners with considerations related to climate change adaptation that should be incorporated during the process of contaminated sites management. The document provides examples of climate change adaptation considerations that could be included at each of the 10 steps of the FCSAP Decision-Making Framework and helps custodians adapt their approaches to managing federal contaminated sites based on potential climate change hazards"--Executive summary, page 3.
