Canadian Climate Impacts Program. : En57-27/1987-01-PDF
"A broad basis for and interest in climate impacts exists across Canada. Studies are being carried out in universities and by provincial and federal government agencies. Before the Canadian Climate Program (CCP) was established, there was no concerted effort to develop and apply such studies on a fully integrated basis. The emergence of the CCP offers considerable potential and challenge for a diverse range of specialists, including atmospheric scientists, social scientists, economists, urban and regional planners, resource management specialists and environmentalists. Clearly, the work cannot and should not be left to the climatologist alone. Each concern is vast in scope and most are interrelated. The studies are, in addition, more than interdisciplinary - they are inter-regional and international in character"--Introduction.
