"The twenty-six piston cores presented in this study were collected during CCGS Hudson cruise 2015018, to the Scotian Slope, between the eastern edge of Northeast Channel and the eastern edge of Logan Canyon, extending from the shelf break to the continental rise, in water depths ranging from 1520 m to 2648 m. The piston cores were collected as part of a joint mission between the Geological Survey of Canada (GSC) and the Nova Scotia Department of Energy (NSDE) to investigate and sample seabed hydrocarbon seep features along the continental slope of Nova Scotia"--Introduction, page 9.
