"The Housing Experiences in Canada series of fact sheets highlights the diversity of housing situations experienced by different groups of people living across Canada. This fact sheet focuses on Latin American people living in private dwellings. The statistics below are derived from the 2016 Census. For the purposes of this analysis, Latin American people were identified based on responses to the population group question in the census questionnaire, which are primarily used to identify racialized Canadians defined as the visible minority population in the Employment Equity Act. Since this fact sheet focuses on Latin American people in private dwellings, those living in collective dwellings are not included in the data"--Page 3.
