"Palliative care can help to improve quality of life for people of all ages living with life-limiting illness by relieving symptoms, helping people continue to be actively engaged in the things they enjoy doing, and when the time comes, enabling a peaceful and dignified death and providing support to the individual and their family throughout the dying and bereavement process. Unfortunately, Canadians do not consistently have access to the palliative care services they require in their preferred setting.
