"Since 2016, the Standing Senate Committee on Indigenous Peoples (the committee) has held an annual event currently entitled Voices of Youth Indigenous Leaders. Each year, the committee selects Indigenous youth leaders to participate in events with Senators and appear as witnesses at a committee meeting. While normally this event is held in person, it took place virtually during the COVID-19 pandemic"--Introduction, page 6.
