"This independent assurance report was prepared by the Office of the Auditor General of Canada on the accessibility of transportation for persons with disabilities. Our responsibility was to provide objective information, advice, and assurance to assist Parliament in its scrutiny of the government's management of resources and programs and to conclude on whether the measures to identify, remove, and prevent barriers to transportation for persons with disabilities complied in all significant respects with the applicable criteria. … The objective of this audit was to determine whether VIA Rail, the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority, and the Canadian Transportation Agency identified and removed existing barriers and worked toward preventing transportation barriers for persons with disabilities"--About the audit, page 23.
