"This fact sheet presents 2016 Census data on the educational participation of First Nations youth aged 19 to 30, in conjunction with characteristics that may affect their educational experience. This study is guided by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Calls to Action, which recognizes the importance of equitable education in the success of Indigenous peoples and has called for regular reporting on the educational attainment of Indigenous peoples in Canada compared with non-Indigenous people"--Page 3.
