"Emplacement of infrastructure, such as offshore structures, cables, or pipelines, on or below the seabed requires knowledge of the engineering properties of the marine soils that could potentially support them. Generally, there is a need to expand the amount of geotechnical data on seabed sediments on Pacific Canada's inner shelves, and this study aims to provide geotechnical analysis of a single geological unit found along the inner shelves of the Pacific continental shelf. Through this process, we hope to provide some important data on this widespread, often buried, unit, and highlight the variability in the engineering properties that were encountered"--Provided by publisher.
