"This independent assurance report was prepared by the Office of the Auditor General of Canada on the supervision of climate-related financial risks. Our responsibility was to provide objective information, advice, and assurance to assist Parliament in its scrutiny of the government's management of resources and programs and to conclude on whether the supervision of climate‑related financial risks complied in all significant respects with the applicable criteria. … The objective of this audit was to determine whether, according to its roles and responsibilities, the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions Canada incorporated climate-related financial risks into its risk management systems and frameworks of federally regulated financial institutions and federally regulated pension plans, to contribute to public confidence in the Canadian financial system"--About the audit, page 23.
