Aerial survey of nuisance aquatic plant infestation in the Upper St. Lawrence River / Beak Consultants Limited. : En37-573/1981E-PDF

"An aerial survey was made of the Upper St. Lawrence River to identify areas infested by aquatic plants. These areas were designated as having light, medium or heavy densities. Aerial photographs were taken with regular colour and infrared film types to examine the suitability of these films for plant area identification. Plants were found to grow in significant densities in most shallow areas in the study area except in the Bay of Quinte. High turbidity probably limits plant activity in the Bay of Quinte. Plaints impair recreational and navigational use within the Thousand Islands area and the St. Lawrence Seaway"--Summary, page 1.
