"Pursuant to section 68 of the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999 (CEPA) (Canada 1999), the Minister of the Environment and the Minister of Health have conducted an assessment of 26 Industry-restricted Gas Oils and Kerosenes to determine whether these substances present or may present a risk to the environment or to human health. These 26 gas oils and kerosenes were identified as priorities for assessment as they met categorization criteria as described in ECCC, HC (modified 2017) or were considered a priority through other mechanisms"--Introduction, page 1.
