"Lake Wenatchee is the dominant producer of Sockeye Salmon (Oncorhynchus nerka) within Washington State, and one of only two self-sustaining populations of Sockeye Salmon within the Columbia River watershed. The Lake Wenatchee Sockeye population is monitored by Chelan Public Utility District, and those data are used to estimate smolt-to-adult returns (SAR) for natural origin Sockeye as an index of marine survival"--Abstract.
