520 | |a"In this report a turbulence model is used to calculate the flow structure for both free-surface and ice-covered conditions. It is shown that, in order to carry the same discharge, the flow depth will increase by about 10% to 30% when ice cover is present. The model also provides realistic predictions of the eddy diffusivity profiles.
