"The purpose of this evaluation was to assess the relevance and performance of the Public Health Agency of Canada's (PHAC) healthcare-associated infection (HAI) activities. The evaluation covered guidance, surveillance, and outbreak response assistance activities provided by PHAC in relation to HAIs from April 2012 to September 2017. This first evaluation of HAI activities fulfills the requirements of the Treasury Board of Canada's Policy on Results (2016)"--Executive summary, page iv.
