The approach is demonstrated using Structured Query Language and related code fragments applied to streamflow monitoring data that are cited in the documentation of the method. Arbitrary aspects of the implementation are assessed using streamflow data that are typical for southem Ontario. The implications of these aspects are estimated to be modest relative to yearly and monthly average base flows.
