Regional-scale ground ice modelling for the Slave geological province, Northwest Territories and Nunavut, and a tool to generalize outputs / H.B. O’Neill, S.A. Wolfe, C. Duchesne, and R.J.H. Parker. : M183-2/9188E-PDF

"This report provides geospatial files of modelled ground ice abundance across a broad portion of the Slave Geological Province encompassing the proposed infrastructure corridor, presented in O’Neill et al. (2024). The modelling is based on the routines used to produce the Ground ice map of Canada (GIMC), modified to incorporate more detailed, 1:125 000 scale surficial geology mapping. This report provides a brief description of the modelling routines and the spatial data layers for three modelled ground ice types (relict, segregated, and wedge), and for the combined abundance. Furthermore, a tool to generalize and summarize raster ground ice model outputs for use in broader-scale applications is described and demonstrated using the Slave Geological Province model outputs as an example"--Abstract, page 1.
