"This map encompasses flat to gently rolling terrain north of the Mackenzie River and west of Great Slave Lake. The surficial geology is largely composed of till (36.9%) and organic bog and fen deposits (29.9%), and exhibits significantly less evidence of thermokarst erosion than areas mapped to the south. The region is notable for the prominent ribbed moraine field that covers most of the map area"--Abstract.
