One of these was designed to measure fuel flow through reticulated polyurethane foams, used as a flame suppressant in aircraft fuel tanks. These tests were employed with fuels ranging from specification Jet A-1 to middle distillate blends of elevated freeze point containing No. 2 Diesel. A series of comparisons of results by the several methods is presented.
