More specifically, this article examines the number of hate crime incidents reported by police in 2015 as well as the characteristics of these incidents, the victims and the accused involved. While the UCR2 covers 99% of the Canadian population, characteristics of hate crime incidents in 2015 were reported by police services that cover 94% of the Canadian population.
