"Insect Growth Regulators are essentially slow acting insecticides which adversely affect the normal growth and development of insects. They are more selective than conventional insecticides and have very little impact on the environment. At present 3 groups of insect growth regulators are known. These are (i) anti-juvenile hormones (antiallatotropins) (ii) juvenile hormone analogs and (iii) moult inhibitors"--Introduction.
