"This Juristat article relies on multiple data sources to examine perceptions of police, confidence in institutions, and experiences of serious problems or disputes. Analysis is broadly separated into three sections, with the first section focusing on the experiences of the Black population in Canada. The second section examines the experiences of Indigenous people, taking a distinction-based approach to examine the experiences of First Nations people, Métis, and Inuit in Canada where possible.
