"Telephone services to about 200 countries and their overseas possessions and territories are provided through the facilities of the Canadian Overseas Telecommunication Corporation in its international gateway switching centres in Montreal and Vancouver, which in turn interconnect with the global networks of submarine telephone cables, and more recently, satellite circuits linking all continents and providing high usage routes between the major centres of the world"--Page 10.
