CORD : a software package for creating Circular ORientation Diagrams / by Daniel Nesbitt and Jon Schnute. : Fs97-6/1706E-PDF

"This report documents a microcomputer software package that produces circular orientation diagrams for a series of animal orientation experiments. The outcome of each experiment is represented by a vector withpolar coordinates (r, θ), where θ represents the direction in which animals tend to orient and r measures the strength of that tendency. The software (CORD, for Circular ORientation Diagram) allows for the possibility that animals may orient bimodally, with a second direction opposite to the first. CORD reads data from an ordinary text file and produces diagrams for arbitrary subsets of the data. Thus, the experimenter can easily represent any group of experiments in a single diagram. CORD produces output both on the screen and the printer, with support provided for common dot matrix and laser printers"--Abstract, page v.
