Dover sole tagging, eastern Dixon Entrance, September 18-29, 1979 / by M. Stocker, J. Fargo, and D.M.A. Bennett. : Fs97-4/1565E-PDF

"A tagging program was initiated to examine a possible connection between deepwater winter concentrations of Dover sole (Microstomus pacificus) off the west coast of the Queen Charlotte Islands and Dover sole involved in a summer fishery in Area 5D. Dover sole were tagged off Dundas Island and on Two Peaks ground in eastern Dixon Entrance using Floy FD 68B anchor tags. Four people were able to tag up to 1300 fish per day while examining conditions of fish being subjected to tagging stress. From September 18-29, 1979, 5145 Dover sole were tagged and released. Length-weight, ageing, and maturity information was collected from separate samples of Dover sole (Dundas) and English sole (Butterworth)"--Abstract, page iii.
