"The construction of the Bennett Dam in British Columbia, which was completed in 1967, altered the natural fluctuations of spring peaks and fall-winter low flows downstream on the Peace River in Alberta. The altered flow regimes had major implications for the ecosystem of the Peace- Athabasca Delta as water levels were increased in the winter and decreased in the summer"--Report summary.
