The effect of wind on subsurface water temperatures in Thunder Bay / by E. Einarsson. : En57-56/221-1955E-PDF

"A comparison was made between water temperatures at the forty foot depth at Bare Point Pumping Station, and surface water temperatures at Chippewa Park. The Bare Point readings were found to vary from one or two degrees lower than the Chippewa Park readings to as much as 19 degrees lower. A correlation was found between the Bare Point temperature and the prevailing wind on the previous day"--Abstract, page [1].
