5203 |a"An angler creel census was conducted on Fox, Marsh and Tagish lakes in the Yukon Territory from May through to September in 1983. Utilizing interview techniques, data was compiled from a total of 1103 anglers to determine catch, effort and angler origin. In all cases, lake trout (Salvelinus namaycush) comprised greater than 55% of the total catch in terms of both numbers and weight. Other species caught included: Arctic grayling (Thymallus arcticus), northern pike (Esox lucius), humpback whitefish (Coregonus clupeaformis) and burbot (Lota iota). Catch per unit effort values are presented for each species by lake. … The limitations of the creel census are discussed and recommendations for further work are given"--Abstract, page vi.
