"This study, among others, has shown that the Frontal Contour model can be applied over a large landmass subject to periodic outbreaks of airmasses of contrasting properties. It may also be applied with advantage in Maritime regions where there is a fairly dense network of radiosonde stations"--Conclusion, page 23.
