"The age of examined material from the Mannville Group of southeastern Saskatchewan is interpreted as early Barremian to early middle Albian in age based on the occurrence of dispersed spores and pollen identified as Impardecispora trioreticulosa (early Barremian or Aptian) and Tricolpites spp. (Albian) coupled with an absence of Appendicisporites spores and more complex angiospermous pollen. Specifically, we interpret that the Cantuar Formation ranges in age from older than middle to late Albian to early to early middle Albian and that the Success Formation is older than middle to late Albian. The samples prepared from the Deadwood Formation did not yield palynomorphs"--Project summary, pages 1-2.
