"Semipermeable Membrane Devices (SPMDs) were deployed for 2 weeks in waters of the Athabasca and Lesser Slave Rivers and in four pulp mill effluents and wastewater from one oil sands mining and upgrading facility. Success of recovery of the SPMDs was 66%, with loss caused by high water velocity and shifting channels and sediments"--Report summary.
