"This report summarizes the analytical approach developed to estimate the total ionizing radiation dose received by Earth-orbiting satellites. The analytical tools and methodology utilized in this work represent a departure from the more traditional, "industry standard" approaches. The approach developed was applied to the problem of determining the mission total dose for the Swedish satellite ODIN"--Abstract, page iii.
