"This report aims to identify areas of potentially optimal juvenile lobster habitat that could be monitored to assess the status of the Marine Refuges. Potential habitat was identified by layering available geospatial data representing substrate, depth, and temperatures suitable for juvenile lobsters, which have a strong preference for rocky/cobble bottoms, waters less than 10 m deep and bottom temperatures of at least 12°C for post-larval settlement"--Abstract, page v.
