"This expedition is the second in a series of expeditions by Natural Resources Canada to investigate marine geohazards on the North Coast of British Columbia. A primary objective of this expedition was to inform local communities of the planned work. Other objectives were to map and sample known geological features and to investigate possible new geohazards by means of coring, bottom imaging, and subbottom survey, and to test prototype equipment"--page 10.
