"The Government of Canada introduced the Free Trade and Labour Mobility in Canada Act (the Act) on June 6, 2025, which received royal assent on June 26, 2025. The Act removes federal barriers to interprovincial and territorial trade. Under the Act, if a good or service already complies with a provincial or territorial rule that is comparable to a federal rule, then it can be traded across the country without additional federal requirements. Additionally, if a worker has a provincial or territorial authorization for their occupation, they can more easily obtain a federal work authorization for that same occupation"--Introduction.
