"In order to better understand the petroleum potential of the Baffin Island Shelf and Hudson Strait areas, the author accessed the short core and piston core collections at 77 stations drilled by Cruises 74026, 75009, 76029, 77027, 78029, 80028, 82034, and 85027 and collected samples from 30 stations from Cruises 75009, 77027, 78029, 82034, and 85027 for both Rock Eval6 and vitrinite reflectance analyses, as well as palynological analysis (Table 1). The palynological studies have been undertaken by Graham Williams at Bedford Institute of Oceanography, and the preliminary results were presented by MacLean et al. (2012).
