"The Committee decided to undertake this study so that it could better understand the dynamic security situation in the Arctic. To orient this work, the Committee focused on the implementation of Canada's Arctic Foreign Policy, which was published in December 2024, as well as related efforts to uphold Canada's Arctic sovereignty. Over six meetings held between 2 October 2025 and 12 February 2026, the Committee heard from experts, representatives of territorial governments and Inuit organizations, and Government of Canada officials"--Page 5.
