Gulf of St. Lawrence ice survey, winter 1958 / W.A. Black. : M67/19E-PDF

"The Gulf of St. Lawrence ice survey, winter 1958, is a study resulting from the third winter aerial ice survey conducted over the Gulf of St. Lawrence region. During the winter of 1958, the writer carried out part of the observations for this report. In addition, the report included ice observations made by the Department of Transport ice observers. It is hoped that this report may bring about a clearer understanding of the nature, extent and distribution of the ice and thus contribute to the solution of the problems faced in the winter navigation of the lower St. Lawrence River and the Gulf of St. Lawrence"--Preface.
