"This National Standard of Canada applies to glazing materials that have been subjected to the test methods described herein. These test methods establish the minimum performance requirement intended to reduce the risk of cutting or piercing injuries when glazing materials installed in human impact areas (see Annex A) fracture. This standard does not address the strength, durability, fire rated characteristics, appearance or methods of installation for glazing materials"--Scope, page 1.
