Formal and informal investment barriers in the G-7 countries: the country chapters / by Ash Ahmad et al.: C21-23/1-1E
The primary objective of this project has been to broaden the examination of investment impediments to include barriers to foreign investment about which little has been written, such as the role of administrative procedures, institutions, and market models in deterring foreign investment. A number of those informal barriers have been identified and described for each country. Included are share ownership restrictions, the size and depth of the stock market in each country, tactical barriers to investment in corporate articles of association, government and business linkages, commercial and financial linkages, and the role of state-controlled companies.--Preface
