To determine if acidification-related chemical variables had changed over the period 1983 to 1991, we analysed monotonic trends (o=0.05) for precipitation concentrations and deposition at 6 sites and surface water concentrations at 111 sites, located from central Ontario to eastern Newfoundland.--Abstract
