Canada's National Implementation Plan under the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants: En84-39/2006E

This book contains Canada’s plan for reducing emissions of 12 persistent organic pollutants (POPs), such as pesticides and industrial chemicals. Part I describes POPs in the Canadian context and how Canada’s policies, legislation, regulations, and other instruments will work toward meeting the obligations set out in the Stockholm Convention. Part II presents a national action plan for addressing emissions of unintentionally produced POPs, such as PCBs, and strategies to reduce total releases.
