A consolidation of the Constitution Acts 1867 to 1982 / Issued by the Department of Justice.: YX1-1/1999
This consolidation contains the texts of: the Constitution Act, 1867 (formerly the British North America Act, 1867), together with amendments made to it since its enactment the Constitution Act, 1982, which contains the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms and other new provisions, including the procedure for amending the Constitution of Canada. On April 1, 1999, the new Territory of Nunavut was created. The consolidation has been updated to provide for the Senate and House of Commons representation for Nunavut in accordance with the Constitution Act, 1999 (Nunavut).
